What can I do with the plugin?

The plugin brings Magnific's core AI tools into your editor's panel, so you can generate and edit without leaving your project. Available tools depend on the host application.

Available across all plugins:

Available in After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and Photoshop:

Limited in Final Cut Pro:
Final Cut Pro supports image and video generation, upscaling, background removal, and relighting. Apple's Workflow Extensions SDK doesn't expose frame export or timeline-write APIs that some advanced editing tools require.

Final Cut Pro tools:

Generated assets are inserted directly into your timeline or composition—no manual import needed.

Available in Illustrator:

The Illustrator plugin focuses on the imagery side of your artwork — it doesn't generate vectors. Use it to bring real, high-resolution photography into your artboard alongside your vector work.

Available in Figma:

The Figma plugin brings the full Magnific creative suite onto your canvas — generate, edit, and drop in stock without leaving the file. Results come back as editable Figma layers, not flattened images.

- Image Generator: Text-to-image from the latest models. Pick an aspect ratio, add reference images, generate one image or a batch

- Vector Generator: Text-to-vector that lands as real, editable vector layers. No tracing, no flattening

- Image Upscaler: The Magnific upscaler, built in. 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x, in creative or precision mode

- Remove Background: One-click cutout with clean edges and a transparent result

- Relight: Change lighting direction, color, and atmosphere with a 3D orbit control

- Change Camera: New angles and lenses of the same subject, steered with a 3D orbit gizmo

- Skin Enhancer: Retouch and enhance skin in faithful, creative, or flexible modes

- Mockup Generator: Drop flat designs into real scenes, one at a time or in bulk

- Variations: Fresh takes on any selected design: reframes, storyboards, multiple ethnicities, ages, and more

- Save to Magnific: Send any selection to your Magnific folders or Spaces

- Stock: Search and drag in photos, vectors, icons, and video, with curated categories

- Flows: Run prebuilt Magnific AI workflows right inside the plugin

How to use:

1. Run Magnific from your Figma file and sign in with your Magnific account

2. Pick a tool from the grid, or open Stock, Feed, or Flows

3. Drop in a prompt or select an image on your canvas

4. Preview the result and insert it back as an editable Figma layer, or drag it straight onto the canvas

Available in Microsoft Office:

- Image Generator — Create images from a prompt and insert them straight into your document or slide

- Mockup Generator — Turn any image into a product mockup without leaving Word or PowerPoint

- Image Upscaler — Boost any image up to 4K with real detail recovery

- Variations — Generate alternative takes on an image and pick the one that fits your page

- Skin Enhancer — Refine and retouch skin with natural detail

- Remove Background — Cleanly cut out any subject with pixel-level precision

- Change Camera — Reframe an image from a new angle and lens

- Relight — Change the lighting or the entire look of an image

- Video Generator — Generate a video clip from a prompt or a selected image and insert it as a new slide (PowerPoint only)

The panel is a hosted web app, so it updates itself with every release — no reinstalling. It also includes stock search, your creations feed, and your credit balance, all visible without leaving the document.

Available in InDesign:

Every result is placed as a linked graphic frame on your active page — it shows up in InDesign's Links panel like any other professional asset. Vectors and layered formats (SVG, and PSD/AI/EPS/PDF from stock) place with native fidelity.

- Image Generator — Describe what you need and place it straight onto your page as a linked graphic frame

- Vector Generator — Generate fully editable SVG artwork from a text prompt, placed as native vector

- Convert to Vector — Turn the page you're working on into a clean, editable SVG in one step

- Image Upscaler — Push any placed image up to 4K with real detail recovery

- Mockup Generator — Drop your page design onto realistic products and scenes

- Relight — Reshape the lighting and mood of any image after the fact

- Variations, Skin Enhancer, Remove Background, Change Camera — Also included, using the same generative engine as magnific.com

Results save to a configurable Downloads/Magnific folder, and the panel includes your Magnific feed and stock library, ready to drop into the layout.

Are the plugins free to download?

Yes. All Magnific plugins are free to download and install. You will need a Magnific account to use it — you can create one for free at magnific.com. Generating content, however, requires credits, which are included with Magnific's paid plans.

Do I need a paid plan to use the tools?

Any generation inside the plugin uses the same credits as the web platform. Credits are included with Magnific's paid plans.

Plugins always consume credits from your account, even if you have a plan with unlimited features.

Everything you generate through the plugin is saved to your Magnific history, just like a generation made on the web.

ℹ️ DaVinci Resolve Workflow Integrations require DaVinci Resolve Studio (the paid version). The free edition of DaVinci Resolve does not support third-party panels.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes, an active internet connection is required while generating. Results are delivered straight back into the application.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. Commercial use is included on paid plans, under the same terms as content generated on magnific.com.

How can I tell how many credits a generation will use?

Credit cost preview inside the plugin is not yet available. It's on the roadmap and will be added in an upcoming release.

In the meantime, you can check credit costs for each tool on the Magnific pricing page at magnific.com/pricing before running a generation. Credits are deducted from your account balance immediately after a generation completes.

Can I choose which AI model the plugin uses?

Not yet. The initial release uses Magnific's recommended default model for each tool to keep the experience streamlined.

Model selection is planned for a future update. If you need a specific model right now, you can generate on magnific.com and use the creations feed inside the plugin to pull that asset directly into your timeline.
