- 1Download and run the .pkg installer. It registers the add-in for Word and PowerPoint in one go — no admin rights needed.
- 2Open Word or PowerPoint. The Magnific add-in loads with the app and keeps itself up to date.
- 3Go to the Home tab and click the Magnific button to open the panel.

- The add-in requires Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 or later — Office 2016 and 2019 are not supported. It runs in desktop Word and PowerPoint on macOS; a Windows installer is coming soon. Office on the web and iPad are not supported.
- Open Word or PowerPoint and look for the Magnific button in the Home tab. If your organization blocks add-in sideloading, ask your Microsoft 365 admin to deploy Magnific through Centralized Deployment — it uses the same manifest.
- Yes. Sign in from the panel with your existing Magnific account, or create one for free at magnific.com.
- Yes—the plugin runs on the same credits as the web platform. Everything you generate is also saved to your Magnific history. Plugins always consume credits from your account, even if you have a plan with unlimited features.
- Yes, you'll need an active internet connection while generating. Results land straight back in Microsoft Office.
- Close Word and PowerPoint completely and run the installer again. On macOS, check System Settings > Privacy & Security if the installer is blocked.
- Yes. Commercial use is included on paid plans, under the same terms as content generated on magnific.com.
