Variations

Variations lets you take a single image and generate multiple consistent versions of it — without starting from scratch. Each mode targets a different creative need, from reframing for different platforms to building storyboards or adapting visuals for different audiences.

Access from the AI Suite → Tools → Variations, or directly at magnific.com/pikaso/tools/variations

How it works

  1. Go to Variations from the AI Suite menu

  2. Upload an image or select one from your recent creations

  3. Choose a mode (Reframe, Storyboard, People, or Custom)

  4. Review the results in a visual grid — you get multiple outputs at once so you can compare and pick the best

  5. Select the frames you want and download them individually or as a set

Tip: Results appear as a grid of variations. You can split individual frames for use in designs, mockups, or as keyframes for video.

Reframe

Reframe changes the camera angle, framing, or composition of your image while keeping the original scene intact. Use it to adapt a single image across different formats and placements without re-generating from scratch.

Good for:

Storyboard

Storyboard turns a single image into a sequence of connected scenes that feel like part of the same visual story. It's designed for creators who need to plan narratives, shots, or video sequences before going into production.

Good for:

People

The People mode generates consistent variations of human subjects. It's split into three sub-modes:

Demographics

Adapt visuals to different audiences by changing ethnicity and gender while keeping the same composition and concept. Useful for localizing campaigns without rebuilding assets from scratch.

Cover media

Expressions

Generate a range of facial expressions from the same subject — subtle or dramatic. Keeps character identity consistent across outputs.

Good for: Emotional storytelling, ad creatives, sequential narratives.

Age

Evolve a character over time — from young to old — while preserving their identity. Useful for stories that span years or for visualizing concepts like growth and transformation.

Cover media

Custom

Custom mode gives you open-ended control via text prompts. Describe the changes you want — seasonal variations, lighting shifts, conceptual transformations — and Variations generates outputs based on your instructions.

This is the most flexible mode and works well for advanced or experimental use cases.

Tips & best practices

Cinematic Shot (standalone)

Cinematic Shot generates studio-grade images with photorealistic quality and cinematic composition — designed to look like they came from a professional photo shoot or film set.

You can access it in two ways:

The standalone version gives you a focused, distraction-free workspace dedicated entirely to Cinematic Shot — no need to navigate through the Image Generator interface.

How to use Cinematic Shot (standalone):

  1. Go to magnific.com/pikaso/tools/cinematic-shot

  2. Write a prompt describing the scene, subject, and mood

  3. Adjust aspect ratio and settings as needed

  4. Click Generate

Good for: editorial imagery, product campaigns, storytelling scenes, and any visual that needs a polished, professional look.

Image Upscaler (standalone)

The standalone AI image Upscaler tool offers the same Creative and Precision modes as the Upscale tool inside the Image Editor — plus batch processing.

For full documentation on upscaling modes, models, and settings (Magnific, Creative, Precision, engines, sliders), see Image Editing › Upscale.

Reimagine

Reimagine lets you create variations of an image using AI. Upload an image, and the tool will generate a prompt based on its content, which you can edit to guide the results.

You can refine the output by adjusting highlighted keywords in the prompt or adding custom changes. Use options like Style, Imagination level (Subtle, Vivid, Wild), and Keep composition to control how much the new images differ from the original. You can also generate multiple variations at once and choose your preferred format and aspect ratio.

On free plans, daily usage is limited and tracked with a counter. For Essential and Premium plans, usage is based on credits, while Premium+ and Pro plans include unlimited usage without consuming credits.
